Biography - Bryan Robinson 

Bryan Robinson, Ph.D. is author, psychotherapist and Professor Emeritus at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He has written more than thirty books on self-awareness, relationships and behavior, including The Art of Confident Living (HCI Books, 2009), Chained to the Desk: A Guidebook for Workaholics, their Partners and Children and the Clinicians who Treat Them (New York University Press, 2007), and Heal Your Self-Esteem (HCI Books, 1991). His books have been translated into nine languages and his work has been featured in such magazines as Psychology Today, First For Women, Best Life, Town and Country, Marie Claire, McCall’s, Mademoiselle, Good Housekeeping, Ladies’ Home Journal, Forbes, Fast Company, Fortune, Men’s Journal and in newspapers such as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Christian Science Monitor, and Chicago Tribune. His column “Mindmatters” appeared monthly in Your Health Magazine for two years, and he hosted the PBS documentary, Overdoing It: When Work Rules Your Life. He has appeared on ABC’s 20/20, Good Morning America, NBC Nightly News, ABC’s World News Tonight, and The Early Show on CBS, and CNBC’s The Big Idea and on hundreds of radio broadcasts. He resides with his partner of thirty-eight years in Asheville, NC, where he maintains a clinical private practice and just completed his first novel, Way DEAD Upon the Suwannee River.
